Isolation Landscapes

Isolation Landscapes, along with the video series Secure World View, inserts the security patterns found on the inside of envelope into the natural world to delineate a boundary. This line of demarcation can be thought of as a wall, an invisible fence made visible by a surge of energy. The patterns coalesce on water vapor and exist at a distance ahead of the viewer in the landscape that signifies a point where beyond that, they can not consume the world. It is the perception of the viewer as to weather this is security or it is limitation. Made during the pandemic, they are also a response to the contraction of my own movements as someone living with an autoimmune disease and on treatments that make me more susceptible to Covid-19.
